Welcome to Ochlos Social. Pull up a chair. Be kind to each other. Pray for each other. That's the whole rule.

Caught the morning light through the sanctuary windows on Sunday. Reminded me why we sing.
Reading through Isaiah 40 this morning and got stopped at verse 31. "They will mount up with wings like eagles." Doesn't say they won't get tired. Says they'll get new strength when they wait. That's a different promise.
Asking for prayer for our small group. We've grown to 14 and we're trying to figure out whether to multiply or stay together longer. Either feels right and that's the hard part.
Bonhoeffer: "The community of love is the community founded upon the love of God." Sat with this all weekend.
One year ago today I was sitting on my back porch wondering if this site would ever come together. God is so faithful. To everyone who's been a part of it: thank you.
Reminder for anyone in a hard season: God is not asking you to perform. He's not grading your faith. He just wants you. As you are. Today.
Five years sober today. Galatians 5 in real time. Thank you to my brothers who walked it with me.
Preached Hebrews 11 yesterday. The faith chapter. Three verses in I had to stop because my throat closed up. Sometimes the gospel just lands different.
Coffee shop work morning. Currently writing a piece on photographing church buildings without making them feel like museums.
Question for the room: what's a verse you keep coming back to in 2026? I'll start. Mine has been Matthew 9:36 — "He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." That's the why behind ochlos.
Spent two hours yesterday with a coworker who finally asked me to explain why I believe what I believe. No script. Just a long conversation about hope. He said "I'll think about it." That's enough for now. Praying.
