Terms of Use

By using ochlos.org and its services ("Ochlos", "the service"), you agree to these terms. Ochlos is an Arizona nonprofit corporation operating a Christ-centered community space.

Using Ochlos

• You may use Ochlos to participate in chat, share prayer requests, post on the social feed, contribute resources, and otherwise engage with the community.
• You must be at least 13 years old.
• You are responsible for the content you post and the security of your account credentials.

Community standards

Ochlos is a space for honest, kind, Christ-centered conversation. We do not allow:

• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or doxing.
• Sexually explicit content, gratuitous violence, or material that exploits minors.
• Promotion of self-harm or suicide. (If you are struggling, please reach out to the resources on the Prayer Wall.)
• Spam, scams, advertising, or solicitation outside the Contribute pillar.
• Impersonation of others, including pastors, organizations, or other Ochlos members.
• Illegal activity or content that infringes someone else's rights.

Moderation

We use a combination of automatic safeguards (rate limits, hard-block lists, three-strike auto-mute, five-strike auto-ban) and human review by tenant admins and hosts. We may hide, remove, or restrict content or accounts that violate these standards, with or without notice. Repeat or severe violations may result in permanent removal.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant Ochlos a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the service (e.g., showing your post in the feed, sending your prayer request to room members, including curated content in archives).

You can edit or delete your own content at any time. Anonymous prayer requests stay anonymous on the public wall; only the link-holder can mark them answered.

Donations

Ochlos is an Arizona nonprofit corporation. Donations support hosting, moderation, and community programming. Tax-deductibility under section 501(c)(3) is pending IRS determination — we will update this section and donation receipts once that lands.

Disclaimer

Ochlos is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We make no promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that posted information is accurate or appropriate for your situation. Spiritual, medical, mental-health, and legal questions are your responsibility to take to qualified counsel. Listings in the directory are not endorsements.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ochlos and its founders, volunteers, and operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@ochlos.org. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site, and the "Last updated" date will reflect the change.
